Sore Throat
A sore throat is probably one of the most common symptoms encountered and frequently accompanied by a cold. The throat is painful, and often appears red and inflamed Occasionally the voice may also be affected, or it may be hard and painful to talk.
With prolonged or frequent sore throats it is advisable to seek an ENT consultation, as these may be symptomatic of other acute or chronic conditions such as: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, gastric reflux or abscess.
