Miss Lydia Badia FRCS (ORL-HNS) is a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, 330 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1X 8DA. This is the National Postgraduate Teaching Hospital in the UK.   She is also a Honorary Senior Lecturer to the Institute of Laryngology and Otology, University College London . She is an ENT Surgeon who specialises in rhinology. This encompasses an understanding of the function, medical and surgical management of the nose and sinuses in health and disease.  As a rhinologist and nasal plastic surgeon she also treats structural problems of the nose, either congenital or acquired, which require functional and aesthetic nasal surgery.

She qualified at Barcelona Medical School and then received her higher surgical training in the North London Teaching Hospitals which included Charing Cross Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital and the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. She passed the Intercollegiate Board Exam by all four Royal Colleges in 1999. She is accredited by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and has been awarded her certificate of completion of specialist training by the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges.
She is a member of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and a member of the European Rhinologic Society and of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

As part of her academic work, she regularly lectures at national and international conferences. She has published papers in her field of expertise and has written chapters for text books. She is also an editorial reviewer of scientific papers before publication.

The private consulting rooms are at the Marylebone Road end of Harley Street opposite the London Clinic. She operates privately at The London Clinic, The Wellington Hospital and The Princess Grace Hospital. The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital also has facilities for private operations.
