Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty (nose job) is an operation that changes the shape and size of the nose. You may wish to undergo a rhinoplasty because you have suffered a trauma to your nose which has left it misshapen, or you may naturally have a nose that you feel is too humped, too wide, too long or has a hanging or too bulbous tip. Some people dislike the shape of their nostrils as they feel they are too flared or too big. Many people feel their confidence is undermined because the shape of their nose detracts from their overall appearance.
Rhinoplasty is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic procedures by Mr East and Miss Badia and at consultation you can be assured of an honest opinion using morphed frontal and profile photographs to give you a clear indication of the result you can expect.
Both consultants are experts at revision rhinoplasty procedures, which are generally much more difficult than a first time rhinoplasty but are requested when a patient has undergone previous unsatisfactory surgery elsewhere. If you have this problem please do get in touch for an appointment but be aware that generally twelve months must have elapsed before revision surgery can take place. Mr East also frequently receives tertiary referrals for the more complex procedures and large septal perforations, so if you are experiencing either of these nose conditions he will be happy to give you an opinion at consultation.

Septoplasty
Septoplasty is often undertaken at the same time as rhinoplasty if the partition between your nostrils is displaced as this can lead to breathing problems. A septoplasty by itself is not considered a cosmetic procedure as it does not change the shape of the nose but improves the function.
Eyelid Surgery / Blepharoplasty / Eye Bag Removal
Another common cosmetic procedure undertaken by Mr East and Miss Badia is blepharoplasty. Hooding of the eyelids and bags under the eyes are a very common sign of ageing that as well as making the eyes look heavy or puffy, can in severe cases, also hinder the vision.
During eyelid surgery (upper lid blepharoplasty), an incision is made across a crease on the upper lid and the loose hanging skin is removed to give the eyes a wider, younger appearance without leaving a scar.
With eye bag surgery (lower lid blepharoplasty), the incision is made on the inside of the lower eyelid and the fatty tissue removed to give a firmer more youthful appearance.
Brow Lift
As we get older, we sometimes notice that the brow begins to sag and wrinkle giving a tired appearance to the face. Non surgical brows lifts can be achieved by the careful application of botulinu. However for a more permanent solution, it is better to choose a surgical approach. Mr East and Miss Badia will be happy to advise on the best option in individual cases. In many cases, brow lifts are undertaken at the same time as face lifts or blepharoplasty surgery.
Bat Ears – Otoplasty
Having bat ears can often cause embarrassment to both adults and children and in some cases can lead to severe psychological distress, but thankfully it is a problem that is easily rectified by surgery to produce a pleasing, natural result.
Facial Plastic Surgery
Face and neck surgery are very popular procedures because of the dramatic impact of making the face look so much younger. Mr East is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and will be pleased to discuss the best result that it is possible to obtain, using techniques such as face and neck lifts, facial liposuction and chin remodelling. Face lifts give a more youthful profile but do not erase wrinkles in the skin. For these there are non surgical alternatives.
Fillers and Botulinum Toxin
Non surgical alternatives to skin rejuvenation include injections with Botulinum Toxin and fillers, lip enhancements and acid skin peels. Please telephone to make a consultation with Miss Badia or Mr East.
