Nick Clive Rhad RCCP MSHAA

Nick is the resident Audiologist at 121 Harley Street and is responsible for the Audiology room and its services.

Nick’s background in Audiology originates from the NHS as a student whilst studying medical physics and physiological measurement at the City of Westminster College in London.  Nick went on to pass all aspects of the British Association of Audiological Technicians examinations at the Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith and was practicing as a graded NHS Audiologist by the year 2000.

Nick left the NHS to gain experience in the commercial market within Audiology and spent several years working with a leading manufacturer of Audiological instrumentation and hearing aid technology.  Nick was actively involved with the introduction, training and implementation of the very latest technology within the industry at a time of rapid change and modernisation within the field.

In 2005 Nick passed the Hearing Aid Council’s written and practical examinations. He has been at 150 Harley Street since January 2006.   He undertakes all diagnostic assessments of hearing within the room and has set up an independent private hearing aid practice here as well as the provision of noise protection products.

Special Interests

Nick has a special interest in adult rehabilitation and advancements in hearing aid design and technology, as well as the preservation of hearing through specialised noise protection.

ENT at 150 Harley Street is a specialist centre for patients who require medical help with their ears, nose or throat.  This long established centre of excellence is home to well renowned private ENT Surgeons.

The Audiology centre here compliments this practice with the testing and rehabilitation work for patients with hearing concerns.

Considering private hearing aids is a very big decision and one which needs to be addressed in the correct way, not just the degree of choice but the commitment to ongoing care.

At 121 Harley Street, there is now a private hearing aid service on site to listen, and to help the patient who requires advice on private hearing aid provision.

The hearing aids are selected from a wide range of manufacturers, there is no affiliation to one specific brand.  The hearing aid industry is observed closely so we have access to all the latest and most reliable technology.
