INFORMATION ON FILLER MATERIAL
Immediately after treatment with RESTYLANE or PERLANE there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days .if the inconvenience continues or if other reactions occur, please contact your physician.
The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips can look somewhat uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result
Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be gently washed with soap and water. Light makeup can be applied.
Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated areas to intense heat (e.g. solarium or sunbathing) or extreme cold.
If you previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores.
If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
How long will my treatment last?
RESTYLANE and PERLANE are long standing but not permanent. You always have the choice to continue of change the combination of treatments and the procedure can be repeated as often as you like.
Most people choose to have a follow-up treatment in 6 to 12 months after and initial treatment of wrinkles. When the lips have been treated a follow-up treatment is normally needed after about six months.
A touch-up treatment within 2-4weeks after initial treatment may be necessary to achieve optimal correction.
Clinical experience indicates that follow-up treatments normally require a smaller amount of the product.
INFORMATION ABOUT BOTOX
Botox reversibly paralyses muscle
The ideal muscle to treat is the deep muscle found between the eyebrows.
Good results may be obtained after a single session and may last for 2-6 months.
Most people find that the injections only cause mild swelling, which usually subsides within 48 hours.
The full effect may take 5-7 days to develop.
The minimum gap between treatment sessions is six weeks.
Side effects of this treatment are rare. Occasionally, temporary drooping of the eyebrow may occur. This may last for a few weeks.
Patients may also rarely develop antibodies or allergies to the botox toxin, experience double vision and watering eyes.
If you are a pregnant or a nursing mother, treatment is not recommended.
Botox is licenced for cosmetic use in several countries but not in the UK.
The aim of Botox treatment is just for improvement, not perfection.
Botox will not improve static wrinkles due to skin thinning. Other types of management will be required.
Each treatment will be charged for individually, according to the amount of Botox used.
